>>5339040>These types of symbols are really found everywhere.Yes this is indeed true, because often these symbols are quite simple / primitive and there are only so many pleasing aesthetic permutations of lines etc, it can just end up being coincidence, not necessarily mystic world soul ahhh lol. I once read some linguistic study which was trying to unite Chinese with protoIndo European language, it was a bit dubious lol.
>>5338416To bring it together with the previous anon on AI/ML textsynth models, there is a thing called Boas-Chomsky Universal Grammar.
Maybe if you have gone on /pol and know about cultural relativism Franz Boas as the father of American anthropology invented that concept lol, blame him, he is responsible.
The basic idea of the Universal Grammar is that it claims there is some innate biologically rooted apparatus of shared categories and mechanisms that enables humans to learn language, as an autapomorphic trait.
Think about how in contrast to an ML A3C or GAN model a child does not need to see millions of false positives false negatives (in fact, mysteriously, humans do not even need to see any negative examples of the infinite possibilities of wrong things, wrong syntactical constructions, to know that they are wrong, in contrast to ML. Yes I know there is one-shot ML, but that has different limitations). This is called the Poverty Of Stimulus argument.
I wonder if Universal Grammar really exists (these days it is considered flawed ot at least badly specified) then embodied cognition is probably needed whereas if Universal Grammar is not really biologically innate then maybe some AI heap of linear algebra and hyperdimensional parameters is enough to perfectly capture all language and textsynth etc.
Maybe you do not care about all this academic stuff. How about a superhero or dystopian sci-fi rpg setting, some secret government programme to create psychic ultraintelligent orphan assassins by making them overacquire languages? Accelerationist hypercognition? Also put in exoskeletons and assault rifles, lots of tactical gear. Gas masks! The future always features gas masks.
