Babs considered for a moment, her eyes flickering through imaginary scenarios. "A couple things, none of them incredibly important, but…nice to have. You know that weird area of plants near my cottage?"
Mel nodded. "Like a rainbow vomited on a patch of undergrowth."
"That's the one. Whole place is filled with carnivorous plants, big ones, and hallucinogenic spores. But there's lots of magic to be found there, if you're careful. If you could grab me some of the white fuzz off the base of the man sized orange pitcher plant it would let me finish some useful potions. You could probably grab some other magical reagents there too."
Mel lifted an eyebrow. "Is the man sized pitcher plant going to try and eat me?"
Babs giggled. "Pretty much the whole grove will try to eat you. I've got something else if you're looking for something less likely to murder you." Babs pulled out a circular locket like object, popping it open. A tiny rune circle was carved on the inside. Two of the outer circles pulsed slowly with a dim light.
"Low on power?" Mel peered in close to the circle.
“Finder rune. Take it all the way out to the fey village I marked on your map, should just be ruins there now. Just keep an eye on it, take note of where it pulses with all five circles, it’s keyed to poison right now, I want to know how far it’s spread. Not super important but I need to know where all to check once I get the healing going again.”
Mel accepted the locket carefully. “I think I’m headed out to bird valley today, but I’ll see what I can do.”
Babs nodded. “No rush either way, I can always handle it later myself. See you tonight!”
