Quoted By:
"My my, am I about to meet my end at the hands of my guardian? Ah, to be a ghost at that trial."
You know that voice, its… the prince! You withdraw your blade at once and let your eyes adjust. Its the prince all right, he has not only infiltrated your room in the middle of the nigh, but he is wearing the uniform of on of his maids…
"My prince, what in the world are you doing?? Why are you here?" The thought that you could have slit the prince's throat in your sleep sobers you from the dreamhaze.
"I have need of you, what else? You sleep with a knife under your pillow? That's positively macabre."
"My help?" You flip the prince off yourself and rise in one swift motion "Is there danger? are we under attack?"
The prince puts his finger to his lips "No, no danger. And not so loud! It wouldn't be good for me to be discovered here. Well, not good for you."
Its a lot of information to take in so quickly. If there is no danger, then what can you do for the prince?
"I figured out a way to forgive you for your recent misdeeds against me. I want you to help me steal a book from the library."
A book?
"Yes! A book, its one of those things with words in them. Perhaps you have seen me reading one? I need you to distract the guards while I, dressed as one of my maidens, steals the book."
What kind of book exactly?
"Just a book. One that they keep in the library. Where just about anyone could get at it."
"My prince, if its just a book. Then why are you going through all of this to steal it?"
He tilts his head to the side and smiles "Because I don't want anyone to know I have taken it. Obviously." The prince picks up your pants and stalks over to you, placing them into your hands. "You ARE capable of a little subterfuge are you not?"
