Times were desperate indeed. If you failed to pay you could have lost your legs, worse still you could have ended up a stew in a back alley kitchen. If the Eternal City was focused on one thing it was always that debts had to be repaid one way or the other.
The office was always open for it's workers as you entered. Brightly lit by a set of carbon bulbs the corporate contractor idly sat there. His suit was immaculate, his facial features and body masterfully mutated to be approachable and "normal" to the human eye. While stretched across the contractors face was a smile as wide as a mile.
"Ah Mr. Corey, it seems you've fallen on hard times yes? Do not worry good sir for the powers that be are always willing to help you in return...Albeit for a price of course. I think you fully know what the terms already are."
The contractor announced in a clear and perfectly punctuated voice to you as you entered. You nodded in exchange as you sat down on the comfortable leather chair, a fresh breeze perfectly acclimated to your personal want reaching your face, as the contractor slid a wooden clipboard with the terms written on it. One signature later, and a strike of a tuning fork you saw your soul crystallize from your very breath and into a green glass jar. A few days later the corporate office was raided to the ground by a Free Agent office and you never saw it again.
