Turn 22
>>6208414> VizariThe magics of fate, fortune and luck have always been a fickle discipline, even more temperamental than the wildest of elemental magic. To ask the winds of luck for favor inevitably leads to an accounting in other places in life. Those who call upon that power recklessly find themselves beleaguered in other parts of their life, suffering poor turns in finance, love, and health for every boon granted in battle. Still, better an unfaithful lover than losing one's head.
Far to the south rises the fortress of Punto Sud, built atop the cliffs overlooking the sea between Urong and Vizari. The strait is of little importance to the changeling folk, who prefer the stability of solid ground but for the Vizari it represents the first line of defense against any attacker from the south. And indeed rumors do flow in of a wandering band of krovians attacking the harbors of Urong, what are they doing this far north? And how quickly can a spell to evaporate the ocean be devised?
>>6208954>Kingdom of OrdalanThe distant jungles of Vitruvia are a marked difference for the Nixen transplants, filled with all manner of strange animals, massive insects and colorful plants. The weather is hot and wet and for a time unpleasant illnesses seem to circulate within the Nixen communities without end. Stranger still are the Vitruvian locals, a motley collection of monster men, soulless puppets and talking animals. It is no surprise when the tight knit enclaves largely close themselves off from the world around them, save for the regular exchanges of rubber and supplies.
Back at home a thriving industry of brickwork begins on the outskirts of Emberglen. Having suffered the torch and lash of Domo raiders one too many times the people of Ordelan are all too eager to build their homes more like castles than anything else. Flourishes in the form of rooftop watch towers, escape tunnels and hidden cellars become quite common.
