Theobald the Loyal, a humble and commonfolk man of House Nelyth, has lived a live of servitude to the Lake. His days have been spent as an accoucheur, one who aids in the deliveries of Listeners within the great waters of The Lake. He is hardly a trained knight as were his predecessors, but a simple and kind boy looking to do right.
Under the wisdom of his predecessors, advisors, and the requests of The God King, Theobald knows he has a debt to repay. A debt he asked for naught, a debt beseeched in the dying wishes of his ancestors, but one his people deem as the highest honor and privilege a Listened can be granted. So, steeling the Blade of Aegus, and gathering his baubles into a hefty traveling bag, the simple Theobald is off to war!
