>>5880108I actually quite like Grung in the clearly-made-for-a-fantasy-game niche monster design since it gives you a nice color coded encounter rating system and a cool new demihuman threat/faction to face in specific biomes, plus they literally shit out plot and quest hooks- AND for a Questing perspective Grung are also great in that you literally have a color caste to move up through as your character advances- but I don't think I'll be going with a Grung since they're a bit too hostile and savage to work- plus doesn't seem like they care about treasure at all which wouldn't gel well with the "gold for XP" sort of thing I am planning on.
>>5880204It would follow a single character and not a direct sequel but would be set in the same world after the original quest.
Here was the complete racial lineup. I was thinking of letting players play any of the races featured here- excluding the human- but I feel High Elf / Dark Elf is still not quite freakshit enough for what I was going after. Besides based on what the players choose I may not be as interested in running the quest, so I may just skip char gen entirely.
I'm busy running Monke Quest now so I'm putting this on the back burner. Still want to run a GOOD fantasy quest at some point but until then all I got are my failed projects of BTMM, Sheep-Man-Cultivator, Leave the Wizard's Tower, and now the exhausting but fun Night Without Stars. Maybe some day.
