>Alcmo awakens in a strange place with an ungodly headache. After wandering around the empty fields for a while, boredom eventually overcomes his curiosity, and so he decides to create some new playthings so as to amuse himself for a while.
Alcmo creates a new race of mortals, short long eared creatures that come in a variety of colors, but are almost always shrewd and slightly cowardly by nature, known as goblins. He gives them only one commandment, and that is to go forth and spread the wisdom of gambling and chance. After teaching them all the tricks he's learned when it comes to dice, cards, bets and trickery, they set off into the new world, with a few remaining with him so that their God shall never grow bored again. And of course, it goes without saying that each and every one of these goblins are in his debt for the great effort it took to pull them from the void.
>Remembering his favorite game from his mortal life, Alcmo decides to forge an artifact using 2 Ren, a defensive tool that is most useful when lazing about.
Alcmo creates an enchanted deck of playing cards that will almost always go in the favor of their owner when used for gambling. They also seem to have a mind of their own, becoming very sharp and durable when their owner is threatened, and coming to his defense to block and counter any attack.
>Hearing Jor's proclamation, Alcmo approaches and says
"I'll throw in the rest of my Ren for this great work of yours, but only if you agree to be within my debt, and to owe me one favor that must be honored once I call upon you. Deal?"
