They're blinded by their biases, by the same serpentine silliness which drives kobolds to suspicion and ever-complicates your attempts at benevolent leadership and general social advancement. They think trust is foolishness, inevitable doom, even 'mental illness'... But it is this PARANOID which has weakened your race and brought them to ruin! This compulsive MIStrust is the real sickness, and you will not let it infect! YOUR burgeoning empire!
But… Not. The Priesthood is no rotten limb to be amputated, as annoyed as you might be by the Novice Fleshweaver’s chilly reception (and the lack of lap-pillow). You don’t give into her pessimism, though. When you wake, you are just as committed to the workability of this dark alliance. You reason that there are no shortage of shared enemies, even once the dwarves are dealt with. You are confident that your divinely-aided diplomatic efforts can hold your coalition together. But… Well, you’re not exactly ready for all-out schismatic civil war against your own race, nor do you really have the stomach for such a betrayal. You will just have to get used to thinking of the Reptilian Master Race as one more piece to fit into the new puzzle of the new order you are building.
You leave the Novice’s chambers, pausing only briefly to appreciate her own sleeping form. It is the only time you have ever seen her looking ALMOST peaceful, though she quietly hisses in her sleep. You release the pathing-bug early that day, after feeding it a few more rations to see it on its way. Afterwards, you meditate, and pray, and join your forces.
>LOYALTY CHECK[Davora the Herbalist starts with a low loyalty, thanks to the genocide of her people, shored up only by their willing surrender and your Leadership: 10%. However, you critically succeeded on your seduction, and repeatedly nurtured the relationship (+40%). You chose the lover path (+25%). You denied her any promises to spare her people at first (-10%), but were kind to Karz (+5%) and put your trust in her plan (+20%)… With caveats and threats (-10%).]
