''And I shall have to raise your moral failing to our baron's ears.'' You continue and -that- dispel Belmont confidence. ''All nobles houses must hear an elf speak. All lands under the purview of our Parent Gods have the duty of protecting my race, his lordship will hear me. You let Augustine do her duty, or I come back tomorrow with unhappy officials of his house.''
You've never liked abusing the privilege of your race but, when it comes to wiggling through the laws of kings and church, it's a tool like any other. Mankind has taken a moral step of becoming protectors, it's always important to know when you can use that to your advantage.
Each Kings oversees the lives of their flocks; the church of Unity must safeguard souls and morals. Conflicts aren't simply inevitable, it's an exhausting way of life. From princes, Patriarch, and paupers, people only agree in degrees of ''moral right'' and within that space lies the rot infecting the Faith.
''...Just go.'' The bishop finally yield.
You feel yourself tense when Augustine takes your hand but the strange shock you previously felt doesn't happen and you let her lead you inside the same door used by the acolyte...whereupon both of you stumble upon him pumping his fist inside the corridor.
''A-ah!'' He goes red in the face. ''One of the bell towers needs cleaning!'' And away he goes, scrolls still in his hands.
''Phew.'' She lets you go while nervously readjusting her basket. ''I'm so grateful, my lady. Belmont stubbornness has never been so invasive before.''
''R-Rey is fine.'' It's a bit hot in here.
''Rey. I was about to get violent, thank you so much for butting in.'' She makes a light bow. ''Would you like to keep me company? Making this medicine will take an hour.''
An hour...You do have time to spend. Grocery shouldn't take more than a handful of minutes, then you'll have to wait in the busy marketplace. Ugh.
>Remain with the Lady herbalist
Speak about the general happenings in the city? Mercs as peacekeepers, a fleeing alchemist, and abused monsters... That's plenty of events for a proud expansion of mankind!
Mention her patient, Seyraphal. Augustine's dedication is admirable, who's the girl? What's this about sacrifice...?

>Go finish your duties
Will you remain in the marketplace? (Time skip until the potential return of your parents)
Or make for the monster enclave, what's happening in there?
