The changes I would make would be the inclusion of hard sci-fi material
Stuff like artificial meat, drugs that can enhance bodies, situations that might make life more difficult in the future (ex: an area where ozone layers are destroyed, forcing those that live in such to wear thick clothing to avoid sunburns, a moving storm of smog that makes sight and breathing difficult, flash snowstorms)
This was based on an actual thing btw, during ~2015 Thailand Uber made the public Taxi kinda redundant and they beat the shit out of each other.
Public taxis were seen as sketchy by everyone because they might overcharge, take longer than usual routes or scam people
Uber was a private corps and it didnt have that problem
The thai gov banned it during 2016 or so iirc. I’m extrapolating this setting based on what will happen if they didn’t ban it.
