You threw your head to the side and ducked under a punch from Kazuya. The others you took on your shoulders and elbows, trying to protect your face, throat and chest. You weren’t confident enough to try anything fancy while blindfolded, and your instincts had done most of the work in moving your body to protect itself.
You could feel it. The moment your spider sense went off, your body was already moving for you, making decisions before you were even entirely conscious of it. Your reflexes were so finely tuned that they were firing off on autopilot whenever your “fight or flight” response got triggered.
But more than that, even without your spider sense, you already had a vague idea of where and when Mishima was moving. You could feel the vibrations in the ground through your feet, and the subtle shift of air current through your arms.
No, you could always feel it. But you were only just now paying attention to it. They probably weren't anywhere as accurate as Matt’s senses, but you had always known how sensitive your hands and feet were. The way that you could pick up bits and pieces of conversation from inside buildings when you were scaling them. The way the hairs on arm stood up on end when you were just about to be hit by something big.
Without you even realizing it, they greatly contributed to the way that you perceived the world. After all, your physical body was only an extension of your supposed semi-psychic senses. The information that it provided to the spider sense probably played a huge part in enhancing its effectiveness. So if you could train your body to pick up on these little hints…
You stepped back, feeling the wind behind Kazuya’s viscous backhand blow past your nose. Your head slipped back and forth, avoiding the swift straight punches he’d thrown immediately afterwards. You felt his weight shift significantly to one side of his body, and you moved your leg back reflexively just in time to avoid having it be swept out from under you.
As soon as your foot lost contact with the ground, the mental image you’d painted of him in your mind grew a bit hazier.
Your spider sense throbbed in the back of your head, warning you of two dangerous objects that were approaching you rapidly. You grabbed hold of both of them, recognizing them as Kazuya’s muscular arms. You pulled them over your shoulder, pivoted your body under and around, and threw him with all your might.
You felt the powerful vibrations as his body smacked against the pavement, the grinding sound of him digging his fingers into the earth in order to slow himself down and avoid falling out of the ring. He was still in one piece, but he’d taken significant damage from that throw.
