>>5336039It’s not long before the wind stops completely. When it does, Tornado Man skids unceremoniously to a stop across the roof’s edge, his landing looking as if it would leave him with more than a few broken bones.
Strangely enough, he springs up from the ground as if absolutely nothing happened. It’s easy to conclude that Tornado Man has some extra durability added into the mix of his powers (you suppose he needs it to withstand the conditions of riding a vortex).
Stopping on the rooftop next to him, you drop Valjean from your hold, just in time for you to notice another heartbeat in your nearby periphery.
It’s in that same second that a long, dark something grabs hold of your arms, throwing you into the sky and flinging you back onto the rooftop. Hard.
The impact leaves you slightly dazed, but now you feel quite a few more heartbeats both on the roof and lurking on the ground below, all of which are on the move.
That same something, which hasn’t ceased to let go lifts you upwards and back to your feet– slowly, almost-mockingly, might you add.
Then, you’re turned around to face your assailant, a woman in gothic-style makeup striding up to you. She’s a good ten years older than you, if not more.
If only to be petty, you’d like to tell her that those fishnet stockings don’t work (and really, they don’t. Not on someone her age).
But there’s more pressing concerns, like the other tendrils slithering about her like the serpents of Medusa.
Serpents, however, they are not, as they have no scales nor eyes nor fangs, and all of them lead right back to her head.
Is this… hair? You come to the realization very quickly.
“Hey ‘Nado, this isn’t Dee and Ramulus. Did you know you had a tail?” She purrs, lifting up your masked chin with a hand.
Tornado Man doesn’t answer, likely ashamed of getting caught off-guard.
“Is the word ‘careful’ even in your dictionary?” Again, silence from the thuggish male.
