The sound of sizzling flesh was quiet for a few moments until it grew louder for the two Primarchs. A mother who was mighty proud of what she was doing came over and placed between the two superhumans a tray of corpse starch rations that were deep fried for the enjoyment of others.
“Thank you, mother E11IE.” Vulkan said as the tray woman gave a bow.
“Your welcome~” She told Vulkan until the mother made her way out of the room.
As she did the Primarch looked at the steamed material that was before him. TalOS could sense there was a moment’s hesitation as he looked upon the Corpse Starch rations and it was not going away quickly.
“Is there an issue?” TalOS asked as he reached over for his own serving.
“Ah, my apologies brother.” Vulkan snapped out of his daze and reached over for the meal. He was trying to hide it, but TalOS knew Vulkan was too compassionate to really hide something from his brother.
“You treat the Corpse Starch as a poison, it will not harm you. I do not believe there are poisons that can truly harm us.” TalOS mentioned to his brother as he opened the bottom part of his helm to begin eating.
Vulkan looked at his brother for a moment, as if weighing if what was on his mind was truly something that should be said. That only made TalOS more curious as he wondered what his brother was thinking. Surely TalOS had given him enough to demonstrate brotherhood which should generate trust.
Then it was something else, but what else?
“You look like you are worried TalOS.” Vulkan called his brother out with a small glimmer in his eyes.
TalOS took another second to think and wondered if he too shall give such information. Thus he realized the two of them were experiencing similar feelings now and that this should be broken, “I do wish our relationship to grow. If you have found a problem, speak about it. If you fear to offend me, I will exorcize that from my body.”
