"...Hey, Elly, can I speak to you for a moment?"
While Jon, Patches, and the Snail were busy with moving through a larger patch of rubble and looking for a way into the next tomb- Nasir was speaking quietly to Elly.
<span class="mu-g">"Hmm? What is it, Nasir?"</span>
"It's about Jon. How well do you really know him? I'm curious- we're both from Blackwater you know."
<span class="mu-g">"If I "know" him or not is none of your business."</span>
"Oh no- I didn't mean anything like that! I was just curious. Blackwater is a complicated place."
<span class="mu-g">"Well, he mostly keeps to himself. He's opened up to me a little bit- but he doesn't tell me much."</span>
"He's mentioned he had a debt to pay. I wanted to know more about that."
<span class="mu-g">"Why do you care? I thought people from the city keep to themselves."</span>
"Wow, you're almost as paranoid as he is now! Haha. I swear I come to you with the most innocent of intentions. It's because of divination."
<span class="mu-g">"Divination?"</span>
"Yes. With tea leaves. I have tea every morning. On the day I met Jon, I saw a curious omen in my tea; the symbol for the dragon."
Elly didn't much like Nasir. He was a small, weaselly, bald, soft man from the city. But she was just too curious now- she wanted to know more about Jon, and any type of divination was like catnip to her feminine soul.
<span class="mu-g">"...What does that omen mean? Do you think it came true?"</span>
"The symbol for dragon means a great personal challenge, an obligation that cannot be broken, or a very powerful personality controlling the actions of another. While I wouldn't consider myself a soothsayer or anything- but my tea leaves are never wrong. So tell me, what do you know about Jon's debt? I'm so dreadfully curious. Don't you want to know? There are many ways a man could get into that situation where I come from..."
