The last fragments of your willpower vanish. You close your eyes, ready to drift into oblivion after having to face...whatever you spent the last hour talking to. The cold winter air swirls around your body like the City itself is wrapping you up in a blanket.

You swear you can hear someone whispering in your ear after everything you saw. A warm, comforting voice.

When you open your eyes, you notice two things immediately. One: The anomaly is gone.

The only thing left in its place is two bizarre items and a pile of mangled cloth that you think might've once been cash.

Two: Holy shit what the fuck happened in the brief moment you were knocked out.

Your head is throbbing as you scan your eyes around the destroyed streets. While the streetlights are now powered on, most of them have been completely obliterated by what you can assume is intense levels of heat. Piles of molten slag and glass is all that's left of about 90% of them.

Three foot deep potholes have been punched all throughout the streets like a bored child was using a holepuncher on some paper.

[SEEKER OF THE CITY] You don't exactly know what that means but you do know this. All across the City, independent groups and facilities have made up their own rankings for anomalies. Whether it's how dangerous they are, their properties, or their behavior.
[SEEKER OF THE CITY] In most of these, the higher the number is? The more dangerous it is. A five is probably up there?

"Had to go down to District 24 to recover it. All they told me before I encountered it is that it stalks people at clothing stores given how it's apparently mannequin-like? It was a big bulky humanoid with giant metallic clubs for fists. Not sure how people couldn't see it."

"That's what I thought before encountering it. Damn thing can go invisible." He glances down at his hands. You notice how there's a nasty scar going up his wrist and to his elbow. "It broke my arm with one hit when it decloaked and attacked. I tried hitting it with the gun Max provided me but the bullets barely made a dent on it. Only managed to get out because I outran it."

Bullets didn't damage it at all and it can go invisible? No wonder why he was fucked.

"Alright. Thank you for telling me that. Before we go, I need you to promise me something, okay?" You put your map away and grip his shoulder TIGHT. Even with your wimpy arms, you can still get a hiss of pain out of him. "I need you to keep your mouth shut about my powers."

He nods his head, eyes focusing into pinpricks as you try to make sure he gets how much of a secret you need this to be. "Don't even tell them I told you to stay quiet. If you rat me out, I can't teach you anything."

"Capiche?" "CRYSTAL."

"Good." You let go of his shoulder. You turn around to see two figures approaching the three of you. (Lex has just been sitting around, entertaining himself with kicking rocks.) You focus your eyes on them as they grab Ben.

[PERSON OF INTEREST] White suits and red ties. Latex gloves. Pins with a snake wrapping around a staff. Perfect pale skin and white hair. These are Z-Company goons. Born to be as sterile as possible.
[PERSON OF INTEREST] They hold no interest in you. Unlike the men in silver. Yet they observe you, trying to see how you TICK.

The two agents (one man, one woman) look at you and Lex. The woman is the one to speak. "Please leave the premises." It's a command. You rather not attract any spook attention so, with a quick wave to Ben, the two of you leave.
