But after the third shot he quits firing, the Demon King no longer rushing up and out. Instead, you watch as the draconic monsters swarm down, all flying down at Tien's back. “Behind you!”
“I've got your back!” Yamcha roars, you both dashing up past him towards the monsters. “Let's do this Krillin!”
“Right!” you shout, following him as the holographic image of a wolf appears around the scarred former bandit. A faint howl can be heard as he rushes towards the descending dragons.
“Cyber Wolf Fang Fist!” Yamcha bellows, energy gathering around his hands in the shape of wicked claws, your friend hacking and slashing his way through the draconic monsters. Each swing cuts limbs from bodies,necks from torsos as they rush in, his movements a blur. You support him from the back, forming your impossibly-sharp cutting discs overhead and tossing them at those who avoid your friend's attacks, trying to go around him.
“Kienzan!” you roar, throwing the first blade. It spins through the air, bisecting the nearest dragon-like demon spawn just under its shoulders. The blade continues through that body effortlessly, cutting down three of them in a row before the rest scatter, dodging the blade as it soars higher into the sky.
“Nice throw!” Yamcha encourages, whatever he's saying next deafened by Tien's next attack.
“KIKOHO!!” he roars, again firing his powerful blast down, flattening the Demon King once more. You and Yamcha work in perfect unison, eliminating the rest of the monsters in seconds. And as Yamcha cuts down the last one he turns to you with a smile, giving you a thumb's up. Only for another of the Demon King's spawn to suddenly APPEAR behind him, the Demon King's most powerful subordinate. Your eyes widen in shock, Yamcha seeing this and immediately attacking with a back kick. Only for Tamborine to catch his heel in his left, smirking smugly.
“So, you think THIS is enough power to beat my master?” the winged monster asks, raising his elbow in a clear threat. He's going to take Yamcha's leg!
“Kamehamehaaaa!” you roar, firing another azure beam at the demon and your friend. Predictably, Tamborine uses Yamcha's body as a shield, your ally reaching out to your attack with his left. Catching your beam, absorbing its power into himself. You pour more and more energy into your friend, Yamcha absorbing it all as your attack ends.
“Well, I think it's about time to fi-” Tamborine starts, only for Yamcha to unleash the power you'd given him. Activating his Barrier. Energy explodes to life around him, the shield repelling Tamborine and knocking him back a dozen paces or so. Your friend leaves the shield up a moment as he turns to face Tamborine, dropping the impenetrable shield.
