>That sounds about right. I have a feeling we're going to find out soon enough, with that stuff about the mystery call with Latias. That depends entirely on how much you engage with what's going on with this particular arc.
Hiding out and training like this is a perfectly viable strategy, but depending, my choices for how to advance it are: Things resolve mostly off-screen, you find Holly a teacher and return to Salt-Coast.
Anti-climactic, but completely fair.
Personally, I'd rather not do this, because I've put a lot of thought on this, but I suppose that's the pain of GMs everywhere and I'm not the biggest fan of railroading.
Or, I bring the mountain to Mahammed, as it were, and force engagement with the plot.
You've done a pretty good job of nixing this option. I can still make it work without making it too much of an ass-pull, but it wouldn't take much to take it off the table entirely. Or at least put it outside of plausible reasoning.
Don't *really* want to do this, but depending I may not have much of a choice. Again, not the biggest fan of railroading.
There's also getting proactive on your end, but it makes no sense for you to do so outside of relocating and I've not given too much thought on how you'd do so regardless.
Details vary depending on how much you stay in touch with Fie and Detective Winters.
Long and short is, you finding out what that call was and whether it relates to Team Green and finding out more about what's going on here, is kind of dependent on your choices.
And at the risk of spoilers, the potential endgame of this arc has the potential to be wild. It'd also let me tie a whole bunch of threads together and set up future storybeats.
But ultimately, how this plays out is down to your choices.
