You don’t actually see Squid. Once Cutemon is placed on a gurney and ferried inside, with Pulsemon helping ToyAgumon to push it, Ryan gets a text from her.
“Oh. She said she needs a little bit of time to diagnose Cutemon and disconnect everything. We didn’t get all the wires out, after all.”
You nod. After a certain point, you opted to just unplug him instead of diligently separating every bit of invasive metal from his pink flesh. There’s nobody better than Squid for the cleanup job.
“I guess we can just wait out here till she’s done. I need a break…”
Ryan settles into a chair, the day’s stress catching up to him. You sit down too, but you both realize that you’re never going to relax in the sweltering heat of the sub-partition. He stands up and moves towards the exit.
“I’m going to get something cold to drink. Coming?”
You look around the room. You could go along with him and just take it easy, or you could go look around and see how things have changed in the last couple of weeks. You probably have time to do a single thing of your choosing before Squid is done with the repairs.
