You gave a deep nod and smile to Jaina and mouthed to her ‘we will speak later’ and it seemed that Jaina understood your intent. Now it wouldn’t be the time for you to approach her, especially as Lord Uther and the paladins were right there. After all, you had a reason to be here.
Walking towards Lord Uther, it was one of his paladins who noticed you and when you reached them they weren’t taken by surprise.
“Lord Uther, it is my pleasure to see you.” You said to him as you knew him and gave him and the paladins a deep bow.
“Hello Prince Alric.” Uther said to you and introduced his two compatriots. “These are Sage Truthbearer and Tirion Fordring, they will be joining me in the tribunal.”
“Pleasure to meet you Tirion Fordring and Sage Truthbearer.” You said to them.
So a second of the five legendary paladins was here and you recognized the name of Sage Truthbearer from one of your books. Uther had clearly built the tribunal around his paladin pals and you thought that you had seen four chairs behind the large table, meaning three of the four members of the tribunal were here. One remained and you had a really good guess who it could be.
“So this is the much spoken Prince Alric.” Tirion Fordring said to you and gave you a pleasant smile.
“The one and only, not that many Perenoldes are alive right now.” You said back to them.
“Why are you here?” Sage Truthbearer asked you. He seemed sceptical about you clearly.
“Because Lord Blackmoore invited me here.” You answered his very straightforward question. “Durnholde is one of my closest neighbours after all.”
“We did fight against the gnolls together.” Uther said and nodded. “Prince Alric and his Alteracis were an important part of our expedition.”
“I did read the report about that. It is good that the gnolls were brought to justice and peace was brought upon the land.” Tirion Fordring said and continued. “Prince Alric, I also read about your participation in the expedition and about your sparring match against the orc because of which we are here. What can you tell us about this Thrall?”
“Thrall is a good fighter, an even better gladiator, but I beat him during our short sparring match.” You said to him and kept things vague enough.
“Opting to keep things till the tribunal? Smart.” Sage Truthbearer said with his stern voice.
“How does the tribunal even work? No one really has explained this to me.” You said to them as you didn’t really know.
“There will be four of us and King Terenas.” Lord Uther said to you. “We will first question Lord Blackmoore and then any of the witnesses.”
“Thank you Lord Uther. I hadn’t really had a chance to learn these things.” You said back and gave him a gentle smile.
“Don’t worry about it Prince Alric. As long as you tell us the truth, on your part everything will be fine.” Tirion Fordring said.
“Remember just not to lie to us.” Sage Truthbearer mentioned.
