“Call the waitress with black hair.” You don’t know this mischievous woman, but you can tell by her aura that she’s a malignant individual. The same vibe Phil gave you when you met and he inappropriately touched you without your consent.
“A sec, Chio.” The manager starts walking over to where his waitress is. “Before I go, don’t talk to the chef.”
“Why?” Phil wonders out loud. He’s always asking questions. Curiosity is a good trait.
“Figure it out for yerself, Mr. Detective.” The Manager rolls his eyes with contempt only your fellow teachers display. A man too self-centered to be of use to anyone, no wonder these beggars depend so much on the CotF. An entitled and useless man.
“But I’m blind.” Phil must think the manager is mentally challenged! You’ve worked so hard to change his perception of the people of the past but between this man and Cookie, you know this doesn’t reflect well on you. Ignoring that orphanage that did multiple atrocities. But Phil must understand that no matter the time there’s always evil in men.
“Smartass…” The manager repeats himself as he walks away with a soft chuckle escaping his obese and inappropriate lips.
“Why did he say that? That has nothing to do with what I was saying.” Phil is rightfully confused.
“Leave it be. He’s not a bright man, Phil.” You show Phil it’s best to be the better woman. He must be impressed.
“EHEM.” Someone coughs inside the kitchen. How unsanitary.
You stare darts at Phil to stop him from responding. Like the intelligent man he is, Phil doesn’t say a peep. How wonderfully obedient, as you thought, you can improve him even more.
“You know, you don’t have to hold me that tight.” Phil tries to scratch his cheek but misses. You have made a terrible mistake! It was your grip that left him silent, not your stare! He can’t see you! Oh, what an error. How can you pretend to guide him when you’re blind yourself? You thought you left these challenges in the past with all the experience you had with your sisters, but like most of your teachers say, you were wrong! Wrong!
“Apologies, but we were forbidden from talking to him.” You, again, show you’re the better woman and apologize!
“Don’t worry, I got it.” Phil smiles at the stove right next to you.
