She turned to glance in your direction, and the two of you maintained eye contact for a few seconds, before she returned to glaring through her scope. Neither of you looked back after that.

Everyone broke off and went their separate ways after a brief exchange of information. Neither Flint or Glass had gotten injured, but you noticed a few bullets that had gotten stuck a few inches in Glass’s body. He reassured you that he’d push them out later.
Cat managed to snag some precious gems and jewelry on her way out, along with some of that vintage wine that you got a glimpse of in the basement. But none of that could measure up to Prowler’s prize. By hacking into the computers and downloading their information, he acquired a copy of a detailed record of their business transactions.
Your head was practically spinning with the possibilities of what you could do with that information, but a pained groan from your brother brought you back to reality. That’s right. None of that shit mattered if your little bro keeled over before you could get him to a hospital.
You told everyone that you’d meet them back at the base and picked up the pace a little.
“Hang on, Rich.”
—--------
When you dropped your brother off, you carefully avoided answering any incriminating questions. You just carried through the front door, screamed “I need a doctor!” and brought him where the staff told you to.
No one tried to stop you when you raced back out the door and swung off into the distance. You made some frantic calls to your family, dropped by your base, grabbed a change of clothes and was back out the door in under a minute.
—---------
You sat by your brother’s side, assessing his injuries and waiting patiently for your sister to get here. Rich had been changed into a hospital gown, and they’d done their best to bandage or stitch any open wounds that he might have had. His face was busted up, and his breathing was a bit irregular, but the doctors assured you that it was very possible for him to make a full recovery. He’d just need lots of rest, and a team of doctors to watch him for any unwelcome developments.
You were more afraid that he’d slip into a coma, more than anything. Your brother’s labored breathing and the beeping of a ventilator filled the room, doing very little to calm your nerves.
Absently, you checked your watch and came to the sudden realization that your rematch with Matt would be happening soon. You’d completely forgotten about it. You could still make it if you left now.
What will you do?
