>Future and Siro crosstest. Talk about growing up and freedom.
Anything to wash the awful taste of that tape out of your mouth. The knight is escorted to Siro's containment cell by Security. Huh, that dark brown splotch wasn't on his helmet before.
The storm immediately pauses when the knight enters.
SIRO: W-who are you? A-are you here to...g-get me out?
KNI: I am, to put it bluntly, an unofficial member of this facility. I was and still am a 'anomaly'
KNI: I've heard from other sources that you have been...longing for escape. Feeling trapped here, wanting to move on.
KNI: Right?
SIRO: Mmh! I like it here, people play with me and give me food and love but...
The storm goes silent.
SIRO: Do you ever feel like the good isn't good anymore?
KNI: Good is a loaded term. I won't go in too much depth since it won't interest you but I get the meaning.
KNI: It feels like without any struggle, without any real conflict, you just feel trapped. Right?
SIRO: Yeah. Bedtime, daytime, midtime...it's all the same.
SIRO: I...do you know how it is outside? What is it like?
KNI: The outside world is, well. It's an ugly place. And it made me just as ugly when I was out there.
KNI: I used to be a horrid, cruel man trying to make it a better place. A better future.
The storm shifts and pauses irregularly, confused by the statement.
SIRO: But you look so cool now! Your sword, your armor, you look like one of the comics my dad reads!
SIRO: What happened?
The storm cleans enough to show you the knight. His helmet is lifted up, showing his skull.
The closest thing a skull can have to a smile is on his face.
KNI: I grew up. It took me 5000 years to finally accept my place.
SIRO: So...what? Am I just stuck here, waiting and waiting until I can finally do something?!
SIRO: A-are you just here to tell me that? I a-already knew that, darnit! E-every time a-another person comes in, I-I see them leave! They...
KNI: Freedom is ultimately what you view it as. No matter who you are, or where you are, your mentality will decide how you cope with your situation.
The two go silent for a moment.
KNI: To you, this may be a cage. But for others, it is the safest place to be in. Or somewhere to observe.
He points his sword at the camera you're watching this through.
You move your camera a bit to help his point.
KNI: The important question isn't if you should be free. The question is...are you willing to overcome the hardships of the real world?
SIRO: B-because if I'm not here, I'm not protected, right? Have to...find food myself. To entertain myself.
KNI: Correct. Are you willing to do that?
There's silence yet again.
SIRO: I. N-now you say it like that, I don't know anymore. Both are good and bad, I can't...decide.
KNI: There is always time to think. I just want you to ponder about it, okay? Goodbye for now.
SIRO: G-goodbye. This is making me...I dunno.
The knight leaves and is escorted back to his cell.
