Building a weapon to surpass the Imperial Flagship was a nice fantasy, but a better option was to build a Charon with a hangar module to act as your delivery ship. At the end of the day the Ryu Kai was a gamble, while the Charon was an investment. Thankfully you already had half the exotic matter on hand which helped curb what would otherwise be a steep investment.
