The tale that TalOS told Magnus was of the trials and tribulations that he had experienced. TalOS spoke of miracles which the Priest now knew was the Machine God acting upon the Motive Force. This was followed with tales of TalOS’s searching for answers and knowledge that were sparked from the divine knowledge given to him.
He then told of his research into the Motive Force, his theories upon the Omnissiah being somewhere beyond within the Motive Force. That what he is and what he just did were both created from the collective knowledge of the Mechanicum being made.
“Thus, as a result of study, I am uncovering what is potential in mankind.” TalOS finally said with a firm assertion of authority.
Magnus turned his ire towards the wire once again with a focus upon it, “So you seek to increase your knowledge of our universe?”
“Comprehension is to achieve divinity. There is no greater aim.” TalOS told his brother with a good amount of zeal laced within his voice.
“It is an interesting path to go down. It is reasonable that where one of the Primarchs searches the Great Ocean for its knowledge, that the other looks upon reality for its knowledge.” Magnus spoke as he became slightly more serious, “Our Father knows of the Warp and is the most proficient in its workings. I can see though that he must attain balance within his court, for if he does not the humors will become chaotic and chaos will take the Imperium.”
“If that is how you see it.” TalOS answered knowing that Magnus was saying those words in context of the warp.
“My brother, I can understand why you do not wish to entertain a Psyker like myself for what the Plastoids did to you.” Magnus spoke as he nodded to the regenerated arm TalOS possessed, “But we are both seekers of knowledge. Around the Universe is man’s knowledge, both for yourself and my own dealings. If you entertain the thought, I believe we can go further.”
“You ask such a question this soon?” TalOS asked his brother as he nodded to the kitchen, “My mother has yet to arrive with our food.”
“That is because I cannot see another chance to ask this.” Magnus answered with the sureness uncharacteristic of someone who was currently blind to the future.
