You know how the rest of us baseliners get papercuts and suffer? They fixed that. Well, for some of us. Regeneration, shortened to Regen, is a specialist trait that - like most traits - add automatic hits on actions where it's relevant. And because Resisting on the start of your turn is definitionally an action you take, it means Regen adds to that value - AND! - you can opt to roll it when resisting very bad conditions.
In your case that means if you Resist Shock for 3 AL, you get your Resist x 3 and automatic hits = Regen. x3. Most of all this hurt you just suffered? You won't even feel it when the endorphins kick in!
Some other Agent - HAZE operative with all their fancy implants - get clobbered for 6 Shock, they resist, they might still be a bit dinged. BioAugmentics shrug that off easy! Though it does mean you have to do it, and you might not have the Alacrity to spend.
Meanwhile, if you take want to major action to resist, power through, or use an arm that might otherwise be shattered and broken, or focus and shrug off something so severe as Bleeding, you can opt to do that too - because Regeneration allows it, fixing wounds that would normally be debiliating. This - unlike resisting Injury - is a Major action, however. Though one you can always take - and because of how Strain works, you can simply Strain to do it, flash-compensating for damage.
I know it hurts right now, Agent, but you will be fine!
Another trick you can do - though this one is more reliant on a bit of willingness to bite your tongue and roll with the pain - is simply accept all the shock as Injury (after any armor). This converts all the Shock to Injury, you get moving, then take a major action of Resist+Regen+Injury, treating the injury as a Style dice you add to this action. It's one of the few times Injury is a positive Style. Yeah, it'll hurt like hell. And yeah, Agent, it's not going to be pleasant. But you force your systems to activate your bio-aug'd adrenaline glands; it'll flashflood your system with Impulse and alleviate some of the Injury and let you get on with the day - though any Complications and the consequences is usually that you "accept" that something breaks that you might need to fix later.
