“I like your hoodie-”
“So why do- Oh sorry umm… you go first.” You let out a little laugh as Lilly fiddles with her hands.
“I’ve never seen a hoodie like that- it's sick. Where’d you get it?”
“Oh you r-really think it looks cool. Umm… this was a gift from my dad- well not my real dad but t-that not- it’s from Keepout. If you… know that brand.”
“Yeah… I’m familiar.” You feel that shiver go down your spine again but you keep yourself composed and stop yourself from making any additional comments that might crush Lilly’s already low confidence.
“Really~?” Her head perks up a little and she finally holds eye contact with you for longer than a split second. “I’ve never met someone who actually knew what that was- though you do look like you’re into fashion s-so I guess I should’ve assumed you would. Sorry…”
“It’s fine, but I wouldn’t say I’m like a fashionista or anything. I think I’m just addicted to spending money on clothes I don’t wear.”
“S-Same difference.” She gives a little giggle at her own joke but is cut off by the sound of the door behind you opening.
Two girls walk into the room. The first girl walks in with an icy and rigid aura. Her blue eyes pierce into Lilly causing her to avert her gaze almost instantly which leaves you as the only remaining target for her stare down. The clicking sound of her heels fill the room with every precise step she makes and her golden hair sways behind her as if choreographed. You don't even properly process the fact that she's the smallest person here because of the grandeur of her entrance. Her right hand stays firmly attached to a sword which hangs on a holster tied around her black dress. And just before she's about to speak the sound of the door slamming cuts her off. The second woman enters with a smile that brings the room back up to liveable temperatures, giving you and Lilly a wave as she strolls in. She stretches and yawns, towering over the ice queen, the light from the ceiling giving her darker skin a beautiful glow. However, that pales in comparison to how the light reflects off her legs. Below her rolled up trousers are two metal prosthetics, bearing a yellow stripe that goes down the middle, that the light harshly bounces off. But even the deep polish can't fully hide all the wear and tear upon closer inspection.
“Both of you, names. Now.” The blonde speaks up. The look in her eyes has reduced Lilly to a fidgeting mess so you take initiative.
“Mary. To whom do I-”
“Full name-”
“Jeez, Vida.” The second lady puts her hand on Vida's shoulder and she immediately pries it off, barely hiding her disgust. “You just got here and you're already bitchin’ out girl. Take a chill pill~”
“I am not bitchin’ out! I am simply getting introductions out of the way- why am I even explaining this to you!?
“Sounds like you two have some history?”
