The procession carries on through the hall, until you see one of the walls shimmer and fade. Squid taps on several floating displays, removing the disguised texture from both ends of the sewer exit. What was once a blank slab of concrete turns out to be a massive shutter, hidden by thick false walls. This must be what connected the base to the actual sewers beyond. You never really considered before that there must be a physical space linking it to the outside.
However, there's no time to be impressed. The Dogs release Liza, and she collapses to her knees in front of the gaping entrance. As the shutter rises, you see the sewer beyond, and hear the distant rush of junk data.
"Please- The Digivice- I can't lose him a second time. All I need is-"
"Shut up already!" Wind yells. Kaus Gammamon stands beside him, and he gives his partner a fierce look. He nods solemnly and shifts his weight about, preparing to strike if needed.
You really don't like the way this is going. On some level, it's necessary. She caused a massive crisis, she's getting what she deserves. And maybe this show of common hatred is necessary for him to keep the hurting survivors united. But she was still someone you came to enjoy the company of, over the last couple of days. You wonder if there's anything you can do for her.
>Leave it be. She'll be sent out there, powerless, and made to escape on her own. Whether she lives or dies will no longer be in anyone's hands. If you think that uncertainty is a suitable consequence for what she's done, then you can just turn away and let it play out.
>Go with her. You can maintain contact with the Dogs of War, and you need to leave the sewers regardless. Do her one final favor and see her safely to the surface, then go home. You want to get away from Wind anyway, and this is the perfect excuse.
>Go with her. But before that, try to convince Squid to give her the contents of her Digivice, even if she can't keep the actual thing. Letting her leave with Digimon data might cause a future problem, but you're empathetic to the pain of losing your partner. You felt like the world was going to end when Sealsdramon stabbed Porcupamon, you know how much she must be hurting after Leomon's demise.
