“Haaah, haaah, haaaaaah.” you pant in exhaustion, struggling to maintain your balance atop the needle-fine point of the spike. You're on the field of spikes the Yardratians use to train, pointer fingertips pressed together while resting on the tip of the spike on your toes. “H-Hey. How many more days of this?”
“You're doing great, but you must focus.” Elder Pybara says in his usual calm tone, you glancing over and seeing him standing perfectly balanced on one foot, hands clasped behind his back as he stands there easily. “You must achieve balance in body and mind.”
“Tch!” you exhale, growing a bit frustrated. You've already lost count of how many days you've been standing here on this spike, stomach grumbling in hunger.
“Your balance is all disrupted, again.” Elder Pybara says, you taking a deep breath in and refocusing yourself. This training is a unique brand of awful, but

“C'mon, keep up!” one of the young Yardratians who Pybara has called upon to help you with your training calls out as he keeps moving, leaping agilely from spike to spike. You follow close behind him, landing on the central pillar next to the elder and the youth a second behind the youngling. Landing down on your hands and a knee, you immediately stop and start catching your breath. “Wow, you're really good!”
“Haaah, haaaaaaah. Hah.” you pant, quickly controlling your breathing by using the breathing technique taught to you by the late Guardian all those years ago. “Phew.”
“Mmmm. Wonderful Spirit Power.” Pybara says, levelling his left hand at you. “Your spirit is now the most polished I've ever seen from an off-worlder. Now, your spirit is ready. I shall begin teaching you our abilities.”
But as he does, suddenly your exhaustion simply vanishes. You look yourself over, wearing the same armor as the Yardratians, and see that all your injuries you've taken over the past week are simply <span class="mu-i">gone</span>.
