In the Galactic North, in a region of space that would be North East of Lucius, lays an entire Empire of Orks. Such an empire has been fought for nearly eight hundred years at this point and had become a massive deadlock. While the Sloog can grow fast and their fellow member species can fight well, the Orks have reached a Critical Mass that can only be described as Apocalyptic.
Both sides were locked in this point. Yes the Mitu Collective would push the Greenskins back but the worlds that were reclaimed did not have anything habitable on them and were covered in fungus. As such within a decade the Orks would start a guerilla war by accident and cause the Mitu to fall back to their original borders upon more Orks coming to fight the good fight. Encircling the Orks was considered, but a betrayal barely understood by Kiz’Kia prevented an invasion to the direct west and the east had no habitable planets.
As such they started to move south, where they found Humanity.
Suddenly TalOS was bombarded with numerous locations that were human colonies. The Mitu wished they could move there and invade the realms of man, but thanks to the sheer amount of military power being devoted to the Orks the Mitu Collective could not invade these human colonies.
Thus a method was established. The entire sub sector was marked and each colony was identified. After identification they would eliminate any Warp Based transit the Human Colonies could have and cull any form of Psyker they had. Warp Transit was eliminated because the Xenos did not want Humanity to come up and stab them in the back. The Psykers were because they did not want Humanity to develop like the Betrayers had.
After this they would invade the humans one by one. Nearly a hundred worlds were lost to this piecemeal strategy. The only reason Mezoa was still alive is because the Xenos counted it as ‘Pacified’.
It was after this moment TalOS identified with his own knowledge what was missing from that of the Sloog’s. It seemed, for whatever reason, the Plastoids were these betrayers and had become something of an impossible foe to fight thanks to their ability to Teleport onto warp bound ships. Lucius was likely protected ironically by the Xenos because the Plastoids were likely ready to pounce on any attempt to claim what they thought was rightfully theirs.
A week later and TalOS had finished the consumption. Moments after he sent out a report containing all the information he had gleamed as well as the numerous Human Colonies that were recorded. Their culture, tactics, and abilities were distributed without care.
However one thing came up that grabbed TalOS’s attention beyond anything else.
These Xenos were currently monitoring the Mezoa and all these other systems for any form of Warp based transit. Such transit the fleet of Lucius was surely doing thousands of times in just this week alone.
