Light streams in from openings near the ceiling, splashing onto the red and black mosaics. At the head of the room stands a low table, flanked by sitting stools, drinking jugs prepared. Beside it are arrayed five slaves holding lavish dishes, and a plump, massive man of pleasant disposition. His lush beard attracts as much attention as his beaming smile and shiny, well-oiled head.
