One such document is called NSC-68 it was written in 1950 by an investment banker. The astonishing aspect of this document is if you study its language, you realise it is essentially the same worldview applied to geopolitics today. It is like when people speak and it appears mundane and banal but there is another layer of policy meaning which you can only decode and penetrate if you have read this other context and absorbed this other layer of implications.
What amused me whilst reading this document and the expressed worldview is that it is essentially symmetric, ie anything you can conceive of others can be applied to yourself (and perhaps manifests unspoken and unnoticed in your own behaviour - He thinks of the enemy as the shadow he himself casts etc). I think there is a good chance another version of this document exists today in RAND etc or somewhere. They will probably keep it secret and classified, but it just looks and reads exactly the same.
