"You'll still be my little kit, no matter how old you are." He chuckled, but eventually relented in the face of Ayane's (very cute) pouting. Despite knowing this was because of their biology, you were still amazed an old hag like her could be so beautiful and adorable. "Ahem, now where were we," He looked back at you with a practiced smile. "Going forward, I'd like to continue our mutually beneficial relationship. If you ever have anything resources you'd wish to sell us, or if you'd like to purchase from us in bulk, then we'd be more than happy to do business with you."
"We've finished off unloading the cargo!" Your catgirl shouted to you.
"Thank you! Great job, love!" You shouted back. Cattleya seemed to appreciate the acknowledgement.
"Very well" Hisahi clapped his hands together. "Seems like this matter is settled. My people will provide you with the gold in a few minutes." Hisashi said.

"Now if you will, follow me." Said the old fox man. Ayane looked between you both with confusion. You shrugged your shoulders.
The three of you entered a nearby clockwork tower filled with machinery. Pulleys, cranes, and gears emerged from the walls and ceiling. You wondered why the Centrian City seemed obsessed over clock towers. Sure there was the Steampunk tag, but if there was some practical reason that only made sense in this world maybe you could have your own built...
"Ayane, remember this place?" He said. Your wife seemed to realize where this was, face bearing a slight air of nostalgia. "You and Ai, and a bunch of other rascals used to play around here when you were all kits, and later on that Eisho punk would choose Ai over you in this very room. Do you have any regrets about suffering such a stinging defeat against your younger sister?"
"None whatsoever." She said without hesitation. She turns to you and gives you a kiss on the cheek. "If being with my Master John Doe is the price of losing that battle, then I never wish to win again." She looks at you, face burning a gentle shade of red and eyes filled with longing. You think about how much you must've changed in this woman's life around for her to fall for you so quickly. "Now, father, if that is all, then I'd like to take account of my Master's money." With your permission she excused herself, leaving you and Hisashi alone to speak.
"I must apologize if I overstepped by bringing you both here. However, it is my philosophy to make sure any grievances are aired out before they linger." He cleared his voice again. "I've spoken rather formally to you, Savant, as a potential business associate. But as my son in-law, I shall wish you the best."
"Thank you." You said. He sounded like he was trying to mollify you into friendship.
"No need. By law, you're my son now, it's natural for me to favor you, especially after you saved Ayane and Ryko. You know, my offer to share some drinks is still on the table."
"We can decide on a time once me and my wives get everything sorted out."
