Rolled 9, 14, 12 = 35 (3d20)
I'm glad you folks are having fun. And okay, we are back!
>>5754991You look around for a moment, spotting that the monster trails for some distance into the darkness. Your aura starts to spark up around you. Turning to the smug and confident visage of Dummy-Gross, you just shrug at her as your hair spikes up. “Eh, sure I guess. Wouldn’t be the first time.” Multiple scowls cross her face as she closes the screen, and you look up at the monster. First, you hold out your hand, calling out, “19, here, take some of my energy to power yourself up more!”
She does so without question, clapping her hand against yours and taking the energy you offer. “I believe this is sufficient.” she states as she takes a battle stance, the monster starting to crawl around the ground towards you.
“Okay, Rozriz, I kinda want to bring the whole room down on this thing, but I’ll follow your lead. How’re we gonna take this?” you ask as you look over to her- …where’d she go? She was just there a moment ago. You… can’t quite sense her Ki either, the heck?
“It’ll try to take your energy! Don’t let it grapple you, and do what you can to pin it down! I’m looking for the main body!” her voice comes in over the comms.
…Okay “main body” aren’t words that inspire confidence, but you’ve got your task. A low, rumbling, almost gurgling noise comes from its maw, and its clawed limbs make a grab for you. But you’re WAY faster than it, and make dodging its attacks look like child’s play. You take to the air, flying upward and avoiding more grappling attacks, swirling Wind Magic building up in your fist. “Come on big guy, follow me…” you mutter out, reaching the ceiling. It does just that… except right as you’re about to punch up into it to trap the thing, it instead has reached the top first, and you actually punch INTO it… and don’t do as much damage as you honestly expected.
It does get the monster trapped into the ceiling, but you notice your hand feeling oddly numb. The limbs reach down and attempt to grapple you again, but 19 manages to hit them with eye beams first. In spite of that, one does reach down and grab her, power starting to flow from her into it. 19 doesn’t let up though, and instead grabs the limb herself, draining that power right back.
