Suddenly, he exploded at me with an outburst, rebuking my stance. I stared, shocked at such a change in demeanor. The crowd around did as well. Garlo had gotten everyone's attention and simultaneously quieted them.
He raised a clenched fist.
[GARLO] "Mortals can become Immortal... Mortals can rival the gods themselves... What a cruel joke! Mortals are rubbish. Refuse! Trash! GARBAGE! WASTE UPON THE WORLD! There is NO PLACE for Humanity in the Great Rebirth!"
He turned around, stepping with calculated paces as he spoke aloud to all that may hear.
[GARLO] "How still may we sit here and preach the values of Immortalization for the dung of the ephemeral whence their kind can only obtain it through trial that lasts for almost a thousand years?! Immortalization is a process that mortals can and have NEVER obtained in less than even a hundred years. And for us, the Immortal, such time is but a BLINK of our eyes. You may speak of Sivil the Pride... prodigal son of humanity... the silvery knight whose blade protects the Trinity..."
Garlo spun around, flames dancing up his arms.
[GARLO] "Then let me remind you, such a hero is a lone example for a reason! There is NO other who has ever reached such a height. And unlike us, Sivil the Pride... the MORTAL hero, will wither, and die. As will all humans. Unlike your kind, we will live to see forever. We have escaped all sickness and impurity. We transcend material needs of the fleeting. And what has your kind made?"
The God of Fire turned his head to the numbers of mortals in the crowd. He began pacing forward while pointing his flaming finger at them.
[GARLO] "Your kind lives in our world. Immortals built this Kingdom. We built the continents. We built all civilization. These are the gifts of the gods which you take for granted. We built HAINEI. Your kind was made by US, to inhabit OUR world. We are not alike. Mortals and Immortals are two separate races. You look upon me, a GOD, and any of my fellow Immortals and ask yourself... are WE HUMAN? NO! We are not! We are not human. We are not Mortal. We are the superior race. The above-men!"
And then he stopped in front of me, looking back into my eyes with his fiery gaze.
[GARLO] "Hating them for their frailty is like hating children? Once upon a time, there was a practice amongst ancient Woldorians in their old cultures. Those among the children born that were deemed weak and would bring shame to families and clans, the paternal heads of these clans held the right to kill their weak children and rid themselves of weakness. They became strong! They removed the rubbish! Say it is not so that Woldoria has become weaker since they abandoned those days."
That's... that's horrible! How can he sit here and praise the idea of murdering children... committing filicide, in the name of strength?!
He's... he's deranged! Demented!
