“No.” You jump off the Jury stand and make your way to the ring as fast as you can. This level of senseless violence doesn’t do a thing for you! You need a little more sense and less stakes to properly enjoy it… Better if it doesn’t involve innocent people.
“No…?” Esperanza didn’t like that response. Not because she felt personally insulted, but probably because she feels something was lacking. “Hey, where do you think you’re going?”
“To check on them.” You retort as you jump down with Philonune’s help.
“You should’ve told me.” Esperanza snaps her fingers. You and the competitors are floated back into the Jury stand you were watching the match n. Seemingly with the help of the Flying Referee.
“Wiiii…!” Oliver enjoys being dragged through the air. Naturally, you arrived first to the stand since you were closer, sitting there, staring at how dumb Oliver looks. You wonder why she didn’t teleport you all or something. And yes, the girl is being dragged along.
Oliver is now sitting next to you in the jury stand, while the girl’s unconscious body lays in front on the table.
“Take a good look at them and tell me if they’re wounded.” Esperanza says as a challenge. She thinks you’re being a little melodramatic. If you happen to be exaggerating, you blame Nariko and her cheap dramas.
“Hey, why are you here?!” Oliver never noticed you until now.
“I should ask you the exact same thing.” You frown. “Congratulations on winning though.” You sincerely tell him as you look at the wound on the girl. She’s fine, only bloodstains on her.
“Thanks!” Oliver is proud of himself.
“Check on him.” Esperanza demands. “Check on the acquaintance you never disclosed. You’ll later tell me why he’s in the anomaly, and why you kept that information from me.”
“Okay. You okay, Oliver?” You ask.
“I’m as good as a sweater being cleaned with the rest of the laundry.” Oliver makes no sense.”I think I can’t have children anymore though.”
“I thought his name was Leo Mayo.” Esperanza frowns.
“It’s complicated.” You respond. It’s not, it’s stupid.
“I-It’s Major.” Leo points out.
“Is he good or not?” Esperanza demands you to answer.
“I think so.” You’re no doctor.
“Not counting the never-ending horrors in my life. Yeah, I feel peachy.” Oliver smiles.
“Then to the back he goes.” Esperanza makes him float back to the ring… She grabs the megaphone. “Go backstage.”
“W-Why not leave me by the entrance?!” The victorious man shouts back.
“Shut up.” Esperanza doesn’t care. Oliver begrudgingly starts moving along until you can’t see him anymore.
