But as your granddaughter flies over, you see Beerus freeze in place as his eyes meet the one person in the room who hasn't spoken. Or, rather, not person. But camel. “Oh? Muhammad Camali, I hadn't expected to see you here. It has been awhile.”
And to your shock, the former fighting camel steps back from his plate and actually <span class="mu-i">bows</span> to the Destroyer God. Not a quick bow, but the camel holds it for several moments before raising back to his full height. You feel your own jaw drop, of all the things you'd seen today that was the most surprising so far.
“Wait, you know Camali too? Wow!” your granddaughter exclaims, rushing over and giving the camel's neck a hug. Which he tolerates with far more grace than he had with Chaya back when the two of you'd met through that mysterious camel salesman who'd just appeared after the Siege. To this day you're not sure how or when he'd shown up, or how he then vanished, but you're sure it was magic of some kind.
“Dad, it's almost time.” Caulifla <span class="mu-i">thinks</span> to you, you turning towards your Stand-clad daughter as she raises her right hand to her forehead.
“Good luck. Let me know if you need anything.” you reply, also telepathically as she vanishes to the medical bay with your son and daughter-in-law. Hopefully her going is a good sign, and not one of your son's wife being in any trouble. But as you sit down, your mind is only filled with worries. And the nagging feeling deep in your guts that something's going to happen. That somehow, during this battle with the Destroyer, that everything is going to change. That this time of peace that you and your family have enjoyed for the past several years is about to come to an abrupt end. But you'll harness this power, you'll do whatever is necessary to master it to protect your family and people.
