>>5200200As your hand grasps the ancient tome, you feel it's magic begin coursing through your very bones. Your consciousness shifts, becoming more aware of the strength of the life forces around you. And as you do, you notice two very distinct things. First, the Guardian isn't exactly alive, barely more than a shade, an imprint of his soul left behind inside his holocron to preserve his teachings. Second, and more importantly, Tatsu's dying!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eP0WAxRS7rYHe doesn't have more than a couple days, maybe a week at most before his life will inevitably reach it's end. But more than that, you can almost SEE the long life he's lived. His spirit's aura blazes far more powerfully than his ki as he charges himself up to full power, in fact his soul seems to be blazing far greater than anyone else's here. It shines more than twice as powerfully brilliant, a testament to the many, many years he's been alive and what all he's seen and been through. He's lived a full life, and it's his time to exit this world. But just like your old man, it seems he's not going out without making it a fight.
“This world is kill or be killed! Your enemies will show you no mercy, so show them none!” Tatsu roars, drawing his only hand back as he begins gathering a surprising amount of ki. Your father mirrors his father, and you can clearly tell who's going to win. “You must be strong! Strong enough to fight through any pain, and do whatever it takes to win! Losing means death, not only for you but for everyone you care about! So win, no matter the cost!”
“Daddy no!” Kayle shouts, sounding distraught.
“TATSU!!”Caulifla calls out desperately, still held in your mother's grip.
“Gran-paa!” Maz calls out, but no one can stop what's happening now.
“FINAL SHINE ATTACK!!” both Karn and Tatsu shout, your father and grandfather firing their destructive waves at each other. Your dad's beam hits your grandfather's, and within a second has completely overwhelmed Tatsu's. It's over in a flash, your grandfather's ki vanishing almost instantly. But he's not fully gone, not immediately, as for a moment or two you can still 'see' his spiritual presence hovering by your father before it vanishes as well. Most of your siblings start crying immediately, surprisingly Chaya is the first you hear sob. Yet you can't look away, your dad just relaxing in the air and looking at his hand. You get the feeling that your dad's suddenly feeling very sad, and want nothing more to fly up and hug him in this moment. But before you, or any of your siblings can do anything, a familiar voice speaks.
