>>5552633This is absurd. You know damn well that these people can’t be saved. You were forced to kill countless of them back in Remire. It was painful, but it was the best thing you could do for them given their circumstances. Still, you can’t afford to antagonize Lysithea before you’ve managed to find Diogenes. You’d grant her wish and refrain from having the Blackwings fight their way through the city. You just hoped you’d have enough manpower for the fight ahead.
>“Girls, grab Nero and help bring him back outside the city. We won’t be pulling the lever after all.”“Thank you, Blair.” Lysithea whispers under her breath.
You and your group return to the outside of the city, where the rest of the Blackwings remained camped. As you land, you’re quickly surrounded by a group of mercenaries wishing to know just what you saw. You leave the explanation to your comrades though as you head over to find Stormy. The ebon pegasus was able to locate you flawlessly from halfway across Fodlan just from having ridden him once. By that logic, he should know exactly where Anemone is. You mount the unfamiliar pegasus, internally hoping that Beathan wouldn’t get jealous, and fly back to the top of the Ordelian walls. As you land, you remove the note Anemone had written for you and place it under the steed’s nose.
>“Go on boy. Where is she?” You ask Stormy, stroking his mane and allowing the pegasus to get a feel for his lost master. The pegasus raises his head from the note and beams towards the north end of the city. What he’s staring at does not elude you. Ordelia Castle.
>“She’s in there? You’re sure?”Stormy only neighs softly. Most would probably think you mad for assuming you could understand the strange creature. For someone like you though, understanding a pegasus tended to be easier than understanding humans. Ordelia Castle appears to be about as ominously desolate as the rest of the city. You can’t make out any archers or soldiers manning the walls, meaning that you should be able to fly over and land without any issues. If that corrupted archer you’d fought in the lever room was any indication, mechanisms such as bows may be too complex for them to use in their current state. With a few Pegasus Knights and Wyverns, you can drop off your strongest fighters into the castle and have Lysithea lead you in. You’d be fighting unmounted, but there was no helping that. If Anemone was in the castle, it was likely that’s where the four Agarthans were as well. You remount Stormy, and land back at the camp.
“Commander.” Uriel salutes you upon your return. “Shelley has informed us of the plan. We’re ready to fly over whenever you give the word.
“We’ll need to leave a few people behind.” Corrine adds in. “Someone’s got to watch the rest of this rabble, after all. And they can be our backup should things get dicey in there.”
>Choose two Blackwings to leave behind as reinforcements.
