In canon it is possible for Psychic Grey Knight to, with enough exposure to a pariah field, become a Blank. Talos has also switched the polarity of the positive Blackstone Fortress to a negative one, and has seen the effect on his pendant with the emperor from negative to positive.
What if we asked for volunteers from among our Laterns of Charons with strong souls and determination to stick around a strong enough pariah field. This would slowly neutralize the positive energy, and after a time, they would accumulate more and more negative energy until they themselves become blanks. Or at least that's a theory we can test.
Most pyskers would die when their powers were taken unless they were a very strong soul (like the High Lord of the Phaedrus of the Adeptus Telepathica who was turned into a powerless mortal by Goge Vandire this way). Our Acillians/Astartes may have the strength enough to survive and become blanks.
We will have a few key blanks to protect our mortal nulls! Let's work upon the theory of Positives and Negatives as well as Polarity Shift Resistance. Framing souls and psykers under the purview of positive and negative charges would appeal well to the techpriest mindset, not at all different from the electrical aspect of the motive force with its positive and negative charges.
