After a few minutes the two of them set off, the time being taken for Lucian to make sure his scythe was within his hands and that the Imperial finished readying his weapon. Seeing the wand fired before Lucian could guess that it was something closer to an arrow than the mystical mayhem that was under the control of Tee-Nee-Tyny.
Perhaps it was not magic at all. It was just something that Lucian had never seen before. After all it was so simple compared to the powers that the Skaven Warlock had used earlier and the kinds of magic that his two companions used. Simply something that was loaded and fired against the enemy which could do nothing else.
The Knight did not discount the idea and instead kept the former theory in motion. There was no reason to not assume that Wigmar was not a wizard of some variety because of that weapon. That he was simply far weaker than others.
Wigmar did not walk straight up like he had. When Lucian glanced in his direction the man would prefer his left leg instead of his right. There was also a nice smattering of blood on his left arm that was blood red, the color of human blood. Currently the man was holding the torch in his right hand but if a fight came after them he would likely place the torch in his left hand.
If there were even more injuries he was hiding them from someone he declared to be untrustworthy.
Lucian had the same agreement.
His body, which at this point Lucian wondered if it was blessed, did not sustain injury like that. The armor that Adok had made for him blocked the majority of the battering and his body seemed strong enough not to be bent out of shape. There were some aches and pains but Lucian was far more survivable than his Imperial counterpart.
They crossed through several other tunnels, each one more numerous than the last. To think that such a bizarre complex of tunnels was down here Lucian could only dream that they were going in the right direction.
It's looking to be a quiet walk as they tried to figure out these dreadful deeps.
