"Then.. the hunters we ran into, and that wolf.." You lower your gaze as you begin to think. "They must've been here for the BEAST themselves, no?"
"Hmph. Well, no duh?" Robin tilts her head. "The beast may be beginning to cross the line, but humans are trampling all over it. They've been sending expeditions into the woods to sniff things out. I've seen a few before, but this is by far the biggest one. They've been coming every night for a few days, slipping out come morn. A bunch of humans riding in the woods on horseback, led at by a man in black and his white wolf.. they're after the beast's head, no doubt about it. And those masks.."
"Masks..?" The nun peers over your shoulder. "Then.. they must be the AUF ARSENE?"
"Whatever they call themselves. I can't keep it straight. The little clan of monster hunters that hang monster heads on their hips--black masks and hats, cleavers and pistols, smoke and silver.." The fey sighs. "It's whole massive mess they're making out here, cutting down anything that crosses their path, monster and tree alike. And that immense white wolf.. it must be their bloodhound. It could be that.. for whatever reason.. they mistook poor little Avalsidal here for a monster stealing away a nun. Perhaps even mistook her for BEAST?"
"Avalsidal?" The nun eyes you. "But.. that's just a costume."
"Right." The fairy stares, clearly trying to stop the smirk creeping up along her face.
>Play dumb. Attempt to convince nun of your humanhood.
>Why would the AUF ARSENE work with a monster like that wolf?
>Continue your trek through the woods.
