Such a question was a good one, which helped to explain what it was Guilliman wanted from this conversation. Roboute was given the task of trying to start his own Empire with a framework that was likely going to be closer to the Imperial Model then the Mechanicum one. He does not have the items that TalOS had, nor did have the inherent religious purpose that allowed the Primarch to attain his force of Knights.
With such a thing though TalOS did have his solution, “The best way for them to unify under you might just be to make them your people. Make them the people of Ultramar.”
“Assimilation? How far should I go?” Guilliman questioned as he sought further council and ideas.
“It would need to be concentrated and powerful to uproot whatever was there before. IT will need to be enticing as well as a unifier.” TalOS told his brother as he knew the second issue, “It will be hard to exact it on a conquered people, but it can be done. You need to make them want it.”
“I will need to invest into them heavily then. A simple fortress will not be enough to get them to turn their tide.” Guilliman answered as he gave a surefire nod of understanding, “I was thinking the same, I just did not know if there was any other options.”
“There are options but I would think that's the best one for you.” TalOS pointed out as he gave a hearty laugh, “You don’t have the direct blessings of a God upon your side, so I think thats the best thing for you.”
The Son of Ultramar gave a barked laugh as he heard that, “We will see, I believe my people will be able to surprise me.”
TalOS could taste the respect upon his soul when Guilliman said those words. It was a powerful respect of a man who was looking for a fellow who could closely be called a friend. Such a thing was nice to TalOS, especially because Guilliman was constantly fighting the urges of being so close to a Pariah.
“TalOS.” Rogal Dorn finally called out as he focused squarely upon his brother, “It is time, we have a war to wage.”
TalOS gained a smile as he felt out his muscles, excitement bringing adrenaline as the ever present connection of Particep Semper knew what was to happen, “Indeed, let it be a good war.”
