He nods, taking off at a brisk walk towards the remaining guests on the hill you can sense from behind you. You can't differentiate between the tiny powerlevels behind you, but know that Chilli will get him to you. So you stay put, focusing on keeping your eyes open while you wait for him to bring the young man.
“You ready to go hun?” Meloka asks, you barely managing to turn your head towards her.
“No, I have one more person to talk to.” you <span class="mu-i">think</span> to her. “The one who saved Chilli from that Majin bitch. I need to thank him.”
“I see.” she replies aloud, not saying anything else as you can suddenly sense Chilli approaching with another minuscule ki. It takes them a few seconds to walk around in front of you, the young man looking quite nervous as he sees you.
“Uhhm, y-you wanted to see me?” Kazuma asks, Chilli taking his granddaughter back to the others and leaving him standing alone before you. Even in the chair your son'd made, your head is still a head taller than his own, the young man looking up nervously.
“Kazuma, right?” you <span class="mu-i">think</span> to him, the man nodding vigorously.
“Y-Yes sir. I'm Kazuma.” he replies, gulping nervously as he stands at attention. At this Towa stands back up, kissing you on the cheek before walking back to the group between you. You see his eyes following her as she walks, or rather certain motions as she walks. But after a second or two, once she's walked away he realizes you're still staring at him, Kazuma's attention snapping back to you with eyes wide with worry. “W-Wait, I didn't mean to stare! I di-!”
“Relax.” you <span class="mu-i">think</span> back, stopping his blabbering mid-syllable. “I heard what you did during the battle, and wanted to thank you.”
“...Eh?” he asks, clearly stunned by your message. “Thank me?”
“Chilli told me what happened.” you <span class="mu-i">think</span> to him. “How you saved him from being absorbed into that Majin monster. And I wanted to thank you.”
“Don't worry about it, he would have done the same for me. I think.” Kazuma replies, trying to brush off your gratitude. “We were all in that mess together.”
“Either way, I do appreciate you saving his life.” you tell him with a thought. “I've seen what those monsters do to the people they absorb, and it's not pretty.”
But as you tell him this telepathically, you start getting images from his mind back. Images which make no sense, unless...
