Lucian felt the weight of the battle upon his shoulders as he caught his breath into a steady rhythm. His body, flaking off the powers of both the Rune and the adrenaline, were starting to ache all over the body of the warrior who just participated in a life or death battle.
The shock ebbed away quickly though as the sounds of Skaven running away were replaced by the guttural bowel movements of a Kroxigor.
Bok stood next to Lucian now, the giant of a creature shaking off the black blood of Skaven from its white scaled body. It was a murder machine whose task was completed with rapid efficiency that even Lucian in those moments of battle was capable of. Next to it Tee-Nee walked up to Lucian.
“Vermin are here, Sotek will eat well.” The Lizard said as his eyes focused upon the party, “New Warmblood, who is thou?”
“Adolf Wigmar.” The man said cheerily as he looked at the blood spattered hat that he was wearing, “Skaven, I guess they are everywhere.”
“Aye, under anything they can get their grubby little paws under.” Adok said as he crushed on of the skulls underneath his steel highboots.
“You were lucky there Lucian.” The Imperial said as he leaned in, “I did not hear them coming and you were in the darkness with them.”
“It was a blessing of Morr.” Lucian said simply, “He did not wish to have me dead from these beasts.”
“Is that so?” He asked with a raised brow, “And why were you over there? In the darkness.”
“I think I saw one of their corpses in the muck.” Lucian lied with a quick thought.
As if it was a prompt the man glanced at where Lucian was before all this started. Whatever he could find there was gone though, for the bloody much and the numerous Skaven corpses that were there had consumed the body that was Mason.
“I see.” The man said simply, “Well, we are going after them right?”
“Yesss.” The Skink said as he slithered onto the back of Bok.
