>>6326954With Queen Roza of house Waldetrudis dead, comes the issue of a new queen. While Queen Roza was at first controversial, interfering with the Church of Schwaerz, with the construction of the new temple and unity with our neighbours they cannot complain. So there isn't enough popularity behind any particular princess just yet to win the election. So Ordalan remains queenless for the time being.
>Action 1: The funeral of Queen Roza of house Waldetrudis. A grand rose pyre will burn at the Temple of the Blossoming Dawn.Nixen and Anelks gather at the Temple of the Blossoming Dawn, where they add their rose to the queen's pyre. After her Eulogy is given, the lords of Ordalan, even those of Vermillion Grave douse a rose in oil and set it alight before laying it onto the pyre, catching it ablaze. The people all sing as the pyre burns, hope for the new dawn, and thanks to the queen who has passed.
>Action 2: Emergence of the Ordalan Chainmail. A marvel of the smith's craft, simple yet elegant. With the new iron entering the market, a new development of the smith's craft. Chainmail has been common in any army, but even the lowest quality has been very expensive, due to the work and patience required. Thus, like with the Spatha and Eyeguard Helm, the smiths come together, share their techniques and experiment, until the new pattern of Chainmail is made. Once again scattered Tellden techniques are incorporated, as well as foreign techniques and new ones invented. The resulting Chainmail is both faster to produce and stronger, making some warriors eschew adding additional layers like lamellar because it just doesn't improve enough on the chainmail alone.
>Minor action: Scour for the Piratess in the Khurnaire lands and particularly the jungles. Khurnaire has refused to cooperate. With the delivery of Baron Gustav of house Redwing's report to the other lords of Ordalan, they approve the scouring of their lands. Having them admit to attempt to undermine our authority in our lands, admit to housing the escaped slaves, and not just refuse Gustav's attempt at reasoning with them, but make the meeting into a mockery with their disregard for decorum. Thus Gustav takes to the skies, him and his Songwing retinue scouring the Khurnaire lands for any sign of the Piratess or the Anelks. A particular target are the jungles, being by far the more obscuring location. The Khurnaire authorities may attempt to stop the Songwings, but they can neither hope to catch let alone combat these elite flying warriors and their lightning speed.
