Particep Semper stood vigil over the ruins of a city which was once great. Carnage and devastation were brought upon these peoples by the Federation. It would not however be seen as a stain upon the record of the Mechanicum’s servants for their war was just.
Others will see it differently and the same depending on who one discussed it with. But such issues will come to historians and remembrancers who might never even hear of this event. Those who will judge it today will note that while devastation was wrought, this brother did show the people some benevolence as their acting leader stepped upon Particep Semper.
TalOS looked upon a nearly dead face of a fearful creature. Forced to kneel by the strength of the two Astartes that stood behind him, the man looked upon TalOS with a pitiful expression upon his brow. He stole glances upon TalOS, each and every one of them filled with the fear a person might have if they were staring at their own god.
If TalOS was looking upon the Machine God itself then he would do the same. Here though positions were different and TalOS was but a god to this man.
“W-we agree to th-the terms! Give us mercy!” The man shouted at the ground with a voice that was pained through eternal screaming.
TalOS looked upon the man from his Throne Mechanicum, a series of wires and cabling threading themselves into his spine in such a way that it demoted him complete authority. It was, beyond any other, the perfect throne for one who called themself a Fabricator General of the Mechanicum.
“Under what authority do you say this?” TalOS asked this man with a hint of mercy, “I understand your predecessor killed himself out of shame.”
“H-he did oh great one!” The man whimpered and twitched as he shook his head, “I am a member of his cabinet, the only one who has yet survived! As Acting Lord Minister I hereby subvert the planet of Estig to your throne!”
“Good, that is good.” TalOS simmered the words within his vox caster as he held within his hand complete dominion, “Your words shall be sent across the planet for all to see. No matter where they live or fight they will hear your pleas for mercy and your authority. If they act accordingly then their lives will be spared.”
TalOS watched as the man’s limbs finally laxed. Whatever fears and adrenaline which flowed through his blood was sapped out of him as the words of TalOS were given. Studying his form TalOS could tell that he shall forever be scarred by the actions of the Mechanicum here today and remember what had become of them.
