Rolled 8 (1d10)
>>5645592> the power that had given him a rainbow Aura was slowly peeled back until he was back to a completely physical being."How could this be?! I was chosen! I was becoming one with the rainbow!" The less-than Super Skittler screamed in impotent rage as he fell through the air and his aura faded, "Think about who is worthy! Give it baaaaaaaaaack!"
But it was to no avail, for as easily as his new power came it was revoked just the same. After he rose to his feet from the landing, the plastic monster folded the end of one of his ribbons into a fist that he shook at the heavens as he shouted in anger, "Amusement! You dare mock me!?"
Realizing that whatever spoke in the mysterious voice was long gone, the candy-wrapper threw himself onto the ground, his mental state in a real rut despite his generally improved physical condition. "I guess that's it then. Divine power's just a lousy tease!" He sobbed, staring up at the passing clouds.
Before long, something faintly glimmering in the clouds caught his attention. After concentrating, he knew it was unmistakable. "That must be what's left of my rainbow. Out of reach... but... not truly gone?" He said as he hoped beyond hope that he could somehow regain the power of the Super Skittler transformation, raising a ribbon dramatically to reach as high as it would go (which surprised him that it was able to extend as far as 15 feet from his opening).
Hearing sirens echoing in the distance, the Skittler knew that the humans were coming to investigate the disturbance that had occurred there. Stowing away on one of their vehicles would be the quickest way back to town, where he could refuel on sugar and clean himself up properly (the transformation burned away some of the refuse, but he knew that no one would want skittles from a container as rancid as he was). It shouldn't be too hard to slide into a trunk-compartment when no one's looking...
