Lunfardo
An ancient city of great wealth, believed to be lost to the jungles south of West Galerne. A popular apocryphal belief amongst rogues and cut-throats is that Lunfardo was where thieves were first invented, alongside their peculiar backwards vernacular argot, Vesre. Known under many varied epithets such as the City Of Knives, the City Of Scars, The Scar-City. The foul-mouthed deity of Lunfardo was known as the Swineherd, though the gender of this god or goddess has been lost to time. Some believe the Pathless Labyrinth of dark alleys, the maze of underground passages beneath the city herself is the true form of the Swineherd god. Superstitions common to the lost city of Lunfardo include a terrible aversion to the South, said to be a symbol of solitude, lawlessness and fate. A well-known hero and Thief Of Legend in Lunfardo is the pilfering swindler Lonnrot, who cheats, lies, and steals, yet always gets away with it in the end.
