<span class="mu-s">“I want my phone call. You guys do have a phone here, right?”</span> you said, storming past Liberty.
Clearly flustered by your behavior, she raced to get ahead of you once more.
<span class="mu-b">“We–-we do, but…the Headmasters here are <span class="mu-i">really</span> big on discretion, and-”</span>
She stammered when you didn’t slow your pace to let her catch up at all. Your eyes scanned your surroundings as you walked, searching for an exit or, or at least a means of contacting the outside world. Maybe you could hijack a ship and wait for them to reopen that star-shaped portal?
No…they wouldn’t be <span class="mu-i">that</span> sloppy after they risked so much to abduct you.
Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Hulkette trailing behind and scowling at the back of your head.
Naturally, your eyes drifted upwards after a while, and you caught three figures standing on an elevated platform and staring down at you. The one furthest to the left was a young woman with short black hair styled in a pixie cut. She wore a black domino mask and spandex suit that was primarily white, like an upside down wishbone starting from her chest, then trailing down her thighs. The fabric around her arms and right before the cutoff point of her white boots were black appearance.
The girl’s look was one of clear, smug condescension. Like she was trying to decide whether it was worth her time to stay and watch. The tall man standing beside her was far more intimidating in comparison, but it was mostly due to the creepy skull mask. The black spandex around his chest put his impressive musculature on full display. It was the type of build that was only made possible through rigorous training and intense exercise. The white trunks, and slightly oversized cuffs and boots sort of undercut his initially intimidating appearance, but that design choice seemed to be vastly overshadowed by the various weapons he carried on his person. A bow, a shield and a sword were all that you could see from here, but you were sure that he had more stashed away somewhere on his person.
From his high perch, he stared down at you from under his white cloak, his eyes appearing to be nothing more than two tiny pinpricks of light shining out of the dark, empty pits of his mask.
And standing beside him was yet another visually distinct figure. Only, this one was wearing a colorful set of ceremonial robes, and her face was obscured by a mask made of sleek jet black glass. From the way they carried themselves, you guessed that this person had to be in charge. They even had their hands tucked in their sleeves like those noble people did in those K period dramas.
There was a brief exchange between skull mask and black mask, before the former stepped forward to address you.
<span class="mu-b">“Hey, newbie! The Headmaster wants to speak with you!”</span> he called out, his voice somewhat modulated.
Was he talking to you?
<span class="mu-b">"Privately."</span> he added.
